Raw Milk is Proven to Have More Health Benefits, But is it Safe?

Organic products are on its way in making a change in the food industry. Organic poultry, meat and vegetables may be acceptable, but unpasteurized milk is quite unquestionable.  Unpasteurized dairy may vary in taste it is however healthier. Numerous health benefits have been proven in Dr Deborah MD website. It cited numerous facts stating that people who consume unpasteurized milk has lower chances of heart disease and even cancer.

As per Telegraph it may be healthier, it is however in high risk of E coli and other harmful bacteria.

Pasteurization is one of the oldest methods in preserving dairy and extending its shelf life, it however decrease the nutritional value as it eliminates some microorganisms found in raw dairy.

One of the most popular raw dairy producers, Linda Wright expressed her disappointment as she feels that traditional methods are being taken for granted and undervalued. Wright has been selling raw dairy since 2012.

She feels traditional methods are undervalued. We make raw cheese and extra thick raw cream; our customers appreciate the health benefits. It's easier to digest and a lot of people find it helps with natural immunity and helps with asthma and eczema."

"I think the problem now is the big dairy processors scaremongering people into believing everything has to be taken through at least 15 different stages of processing before it's safe to eat. For most of us, a bit more education on the pros and cons of raw dairy would help bust the misconceptions."

Fiona Provan from the Calf, who also produce raw dairy products also expressed his dismay stating:

"People fear food which isn't wrapped in plastic, with instructions or sell by dates, and fear food that hasn't had the life zapped and sucked out of it by processing; many food intolerants have been found instead to be intolerant of the modern processes."
