Pixar News: ‘Incredibles 2’ Release Date In 2019, Disney Also Announces Dates For ‘Toy Story’ And ‘Cars’ Sequels

Finally, the Pixar news that everyone's been waiting for has finally arrived: "The Incredibles," that awesome 2004 film about a superhero family in hiding who goes back to saving the world, is getting its first sequel - and now Disney has announced it's coming on 2019!

It's been 11 years since Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl and their children saved the world from the evil hands of Syndrome in the wonderful Brad Bird-directed film, and the latest Pixar news shows that the company behind films like "Finding Nemo" hasn't forgotten about its family of supers - besides announcing two other huge sequels.

The latest Pixar news comes from a statement posted on the Disney subsidiary's Twitter, as they revealed their plans for the next four years: as previously announced, 2016 will see the big release of another anticipated sequel, "Finding Dory," while 2017 will see the release of "Cars 3," and "Coco," then "Toy Story 4" on 2018 and finally "The Incredibles 2" on 2019.

As Slash Film reports, creator Brad Bird (who will be directing the sequel to "The Incredibles") revealed a few months back that he's already written about "three-quarters" of the film's screenplay, saying he already has the story arc.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, this Pixar news sees the Disney subsidiary changing its plans, as "Toy Sory 4" was original set for a 2017 release date, but it was ultimately bumped back to make room for the third part of the saga about Lightning McQueen.

Besides the latest Pixar news, Disney also announced big plans for their Marvel division today, as they told the world via a statement that they'd be releasing a sequel to this year's blockbuster "Ant-Man" also focusing on "The Wasp," besides changing release dates for "Captain Marvel" and "Black Panther."

In any case, amazing Pixar news for everyone who loves great animated films!
