Kim Zolciak Revealed She Has A Hole In Her Heart

On October 8, Kim Zolciak finally spoke about her stroke for the first time on Good Morning America.

The mini stroke that forced her to withdraw from Dancing with the Stars caused her to lose the feeling any sensation on one side of her body as well as the ability to speak, but fortunately she has recovered, and with that she also found out what brought about the stroke.

Kim explained that the stroke was caused by a small hole in her heart. The minor TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack) revealed that she has a patent foramen ovale (PFO), which is a hole in her heart that she was born with,  that apparently never closed.

Critics alleged that Zolciak, 37-year-old, had faked her illness after she was eliminated from the dancing competition.

This is what she has to say about all the negative reactions directed at her and her revelation, in her interview with NYPOST "I think it's sick that somebody would ever think that and some of the people that have said that, it just shows me their mentality," she added. "I don't think that many people would really fake a stroke. Especially since I love 'Dancing with the Stars.' It's been one of the best experiences of my life. It's been very difficult for me to not be on the show."

In the fall of 2014, Zolciak gave up the show. An insider revealed to Page Six that she and her partner Tony Dovolani, appealed that they be taken back on the show however it didn't work. The insider remarked that "the decision was payback" as her decision to leave the show was because she was "blind sided by her elimination" added the source.

However, the fact is she will be back for the finale and this is what she said, "I'm not sure what they're going to have me doing," adding "I don't care. I'm just so excited to be there."
