Drinks International Names the 50 Best Bars in the World for 2015

The next time you're looking for a well-made cocktail, try and give these places a shot. Drinks International has just released their annual list of the 50 best bars in the world and it includes some impressive joints.

The city of London was the list's number one drinking destination with 5 of the top 10 bars and 9 overall hailing from the British capital.

Special mention is deserved for Artesian, which is located at the posh 5-star Langham Hotel in the West End. The swanky joint topped the list for the fourth year running. Here's a small piece of praise from the review.

'This is hospitality at its best; discretion and humour deployed at all times. Artesian's drinks get the column inches but hospitality is why the trade vote in hoards for this bar as the world's best. No matter who you are, or what you're trying to squeeze into your handbag, you are made to feel special at Artesian. '

Trailing London by a hair is New York City. The empire state had eight entries on the list including the number two spot, The Dead Rabbit Grocery and Grog located in Lower Manhattan. It's the second straight number two finish for the bar. This is a bit of what you can expect:

'....the handsome printed menu tells a story, exploring a chapter of New York history tied to the bar's downtown Manhattan location. With striking illustrations and a full-on narrative, the menus have become collectors' items. There's also a 10-drink list insert that changes every three months. In addition, the staff can mix up anything they're ever likely to be asked for or can recreate drinks from past menus.'
