Fallout 4 Voice Actress Compares Game to Pixar Movie

Voice actress Courtenay Taylor has just heaped some lofty praise on Bethesda Game Studio's Fallout 4. In a recent interview with IGN, the veteran voiceover specialist says that the game's production quality and attention to detail match that of a Pixar produced movie.

"I've never worked this long on a game and I think that does affect my excitement but also the material is great. The writing is great. It is exactly what you would expect from a Fallout game, but better - it's more immersive." She says to IGN. "They've taken it to a new level. There's no stone that's been unturned."

She continued saying, "It's like--I went to Pixar, in Emeryville once. And they were talking about the movie Cars, and the level of detail in Cars. In every car, they would know what was in the glove box, even if the glove box is never opened, these creators would know exactly what was inside. You couldn't just say 'Oh, I have no idea.' Detail is fleshed out completely."

According to the interview, Taylor who voices the female version of the game's playable character, recorded over 13,000 lines of dialogue over a two year period, the longest she's ever worked on a single title.

"When I left Fallout 4 I felt like I'd just shot a really awesome action movie with heart, a motion picture that was a real roller-coaster ride. But I think that's becoming more common." Said Taylor of her experience with the game. "The writing that the fans expect these days is much more cinematic. So I like going into the booth and experience lines that are a lot more...touching."
