Want a Healthier Baby? Feed Him Homemade Baby Food

Being parents, most of them worry about a lot of things but one thing makes the top of their list, it's how to feed their children nutritious and healthy food. According to Columbia Tribune, that children seemed to form long-term food preference for some food and flavors because of their early years of eating habit. Babies or infants tend to be more open to trying new food as compared to toddlers or preschoolers. All the more reason that parents should feed their babies fresh, delicious and real food from the time they start eating.

One mother confessed that as she was looking back, being a mother of 3 kids, she realized how important and simple it was to feed her 3 kids when they were babies and toddlers. She said that she was able to control whatever her kids would eat because they were still too young to be influenced by their friends to eat something unhealthy.

Homemade food would be the best choice for babies because it is generally nutritious and delicious than most commercialized baby food we can buy in the supermarket. If you cook baby food at home by bulk, it would be cheaper and much healthier and fresh which is a better option for parents and children alike. When you cook at home you can control the amount and quality of ingredients you use for the baby food.

Like any other food, it also takes time to make baby food at home. It is suggested to make a little amount and let your baby try and see how it goes. One baby food that doesn't require cooking would be masked fresh fruit, like banana or avocado would be a perfect start.

Some parents might also be worried and would like to be sure when their babies are ready for solid food. The American Academy of Pediatrics said that if the baby is interested in the solid food she can see around her and she can sit down with support, she responds by shaking her head if she doesn't like the food and has doubled her birth weight then she is ready. However, it is always best to consult with the pediatrician as the growths pace of the babies are different.
