ASUS Zen Phone 2 With Better Specs Coming To The US for $199

The newest addition to ASUS' ZenFone line is now available in the US. This model was initially released in India and now with more improved features, it's ready to hit the US market.

ZenFone 2 Laser's initial cost is at $199 for the 16GB model and $249 for the 32GB. The features of this latest addition include, laser focus on camera, 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with Adreno 405 graphics, 3GB RAM in base model and 4G LTE support for dual SIM cards. GSM networks such as AT&T and T-Mobile support this handset.

Additional specs include; 2G (GSM)/ 3G (WCDMS)/ 4G/ LTE on each sim for cellular tech, has a 5.5" 1080p IPS display, battery capacity is at 3000 mAh Li-Po, camera specs is at 5MP for front and 13MP for back camera. This model also supports 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/17/20 LTE brands.

ZenFone 2 Laser takes pride in its lightning-fast laser auto focus 13 mega-pixel PixelMaster 2.0 camera. This feature enables users to take high-quality photos even in low light conditions. The 13-megapixel rear camera has a wide-angle F/2.0 aperture lens with 5-elements for crisp images. It also has a built in dual LED real tone flash for light adjustments.

The battery life is also commendable despite its wider screen and up time performance. External memory is expandable up to 128GB to provide extra storage for apps and other personal files.

Both SIM cards can also connect simultaneously to 3G and 4G LTE unlike the earlier versions. Users will have the option to select in which SIM to connect LTE data through android settings.

ZenFone 2 Laser is also intended for smart shoppers and value-conscious individuals since this version is cheaper than the earlier releases.

The aesthetic is typically like that of a normal ASUS phone and protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for damage resistance.
