Body of a Toddler Found 21 Miles Away Might be the Key to Russian Plane Crash

Darina Gromova, the 10-month old toddler found 21 miles away from the wreckage of the Russian plane crash might be the answer to uncover the mystery behind the tragedy.

Since her body was found miles away from the site, experts believe that the plane might have exploded earlier than the initial investigation report.

This had led investigators to search in a wider scope in order to discover possible clues that can close and solve the case.

The last photo of Darina at St. Petersburg airport has become viral over social media and considered a symbol of the 224 victims of the tragedy. While the toddler's body had been confirmed by Vladimir Svetelsky, a Russian emergency ministry official in Egypt, the remains of her parents Tatiana and Aleksei Gromov have yet to be found.

Western officials put the blame to Sinai Province, which had killed Egyptian soldiers and police after the mass protest in 2013 when the military overthrown President Mohamed Mursi of the Muslim Brotherhood.

If evidences would suggest that it attacked the plane, this will be considered one of the deadliest attacks since al Qaeda bombed the World Trade Center in New York in 2001.

Egyptian intelligence officials claimed that the suspicion of the Islamic State as the mind behind the alleged bombing sparked a security dragnet which now operates in groups under the leadership of someone who used to import clothes for a living.

Ongoing investigations however has not yet found solid evidence pointing that a bomb explosion may have caused the disaster. However, experts are considering the probability that an object stowed on board which led to the crash.

A Russian official said, "There are two versions now under consideration: something stowed inside (the plane) and a technical fault. But the airplane could not just break apart in the air - there should be some action. A rocket is unlikely as there are no signs of that."
