Ronda Rousey is Planning a Break after UFC 193, Says, She Wants to 'Let Some People Miss Me'

Ronda Rousey, the American mixed martial artist and actress who is the first and current UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion, has yet to compete at the  upcoming mixed martial arts event - UFC 193, but the last Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion already has her post-fight plans laid out.

On Saturday, at Melbourne's Etihad Stadium in Australia, Ronda Rousey with a record of 12-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC, will compete in her third Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bout with less than nine months in preparation and  puts her women's bantamweight title on the line against Holly Holm - with a record of 9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC. The main card - Ronda Rousey against the former professional boxer and kickboxer Holly Holm, will be aired on pay-per-view following prelims on the American sports-oriented cable and satellite television channel - FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

It's been a busy year for the star of the 2015 film Furious 7 - Rousey, who's been on the No. 1 spot in the NOS Energy Drink MMA women's bantamweight rankings. Aside from Ronda Rousey's fighting and training, the first U.S. woman to earn an Olympic medal in Judo at the Summer Olympics in Beijing in 2008, appeared on nearly every media outlet imaginable to promote herself or her fights.

However, once UFC 193 is in the books, Ronda Rousey stated that  she plans to take some break from fighting in order to fulfill obligations in her budding acting career - for that reason, she won't compete again until UFC 200, which is slated to take place on July 9 in Las Vegas.

Ronda Rousey said in an interview, "After this UFC 193 fight, I'm definitely going to let some people miss me, that's for sure," Rousey also said, "Believe me, there's nothing I would like to do more than to take a break for a while. ... I would like to wait until UFC 200 to compete again. I'm going to be filming movies in the meantime, so I'm still going to be keeping busy."
