[Viral] Alaska Restaurant Owner Becomes Famous After Banning Customer Who Abused Autistic Delivery Driver

A restaurant in Alaska has banned one of its customers after abusing their autistic delivery driver. The restaurant's actions has earned her worldwide goodwill in return.

"Faith in the world restored" is probably one of the lines social media users said after seeing the Facebook post of Little Italy Restaurante owner when she posted his story about how a customer humiliated their autistic driver.

According to The Inquisitr, the incident took place last weekend. The delivery driver, reportedly went to the customer's home, but apparently gave the wrong delivery at first encounter. This made the customer seriously angry. Trying to make up for his mistake, the autistic driver went back to the delivery truck to deliver the correct over. The customer unfortunately would not have it, and did not accept the apologies of the driver.

Upon his return to the restaurant, the owner noticed that the autistic driver was visibly shaken. The abusive customer later called the restaurant to complain about the delivery driver's delivery, calling him an idiot and accused him of doing drugs.

Owner P.J. Gialopsos' daughter reportedly tried to calm the customer and said that the delivery driver suffers from a medical condition. She explained that the driver was autistic and has a speech impediment, but the abusive customer, who has yet to be identified, did not accept the explanation.

According to Alaska Dispatch News, Gialopsos told them that former customers have also complained before, but they usually forgave the driver once the situation has been explained to them.

Because of the abusive customer's reaction, Gialopsos decided to fire the customer. She told her staff to never take orders from the person again, according to The Associated Press.

This decision has since earned Gialopsos worldwide recognition. Following the incident earlier this week, she made a long Facebook post detailing the events that led her to ban the abusive customer.

"We have fired this customer. That address, that name and phone number will be tagged with a DO NOT DELIVER DO NOT ACCEPT ORDER message," Gialopsos wrote.

In the post where Gialopsos' frustration and anger is apparent, she said the customer continued to rant and foul mouth their delivery guy.

Her Facebook has received over 27,000 shares, as well as thousands of comments, since Gialopsos posted it. People have given her words of appreciation for her kindness towards the delivery guy.

According to Fox News, people from all over the world appreciated Gialopsos for what she did for her delivery driver. She has received messages from several people who said her actions have inspired them to do better, and to be kind to people.
