Did Terrorists Use PlayStation 4 To Communicate?

The terrorist attack in Paris is probably the hottest news today. The devastating incident which killed many innocent people shocked the world. The authorities are now working hard to determine how the terrorists managed to get into the city without noticing their weapons.

According to reports, the attackers said to have used Sony PlayStation 4 gaming console in order to communicate with each other. The unsuspicious device is hard to detect and monitor which makes perfect for them as what Jan Jambon, the Minister of the Interior of Belgium claimed.

"The most difficult communication between these terrorists is the PlayStation 4. It's very difficult for our services - not only our Belgian service but international services - to decrypt the communications via PlayStation 4," explained Jambon.

Sony has sold 25 million consoles since the product was released two years ago. The terrorist possibly used the device to send messages and talk to each other for their plan while in multiplayer games.

Using the console, users can write temporary messages, message each other and even voice chat each other which is very difficult to trace considering the 65 million active users of the device.

Though WhatsApp is also a possible medium for the terrorists because it is difficult to monitor, it can be decrypted by the experts.

This is already the second time that PlayStation has been linked to terrorism. Earlier this year, the console was used by an Austrian teenager to download bomb-building plans.

The terrorist attack in the city of lights on Friday killed around 129 people. More than 300 individuals were injured while 99 are still at the hospital and in critical condition.

The Islamic State (ISIS) has admitted that they are the ones responsible for the shootings. Many people were killed at the location because of lack of security measures.
