Newly ISIS VIdeo Threatens New York City, 'Don't Be Intimidated,' City Mayor Said

ISIS has threatened New York through its newly released propaganda video on Wednesday.

The said videos pointed out places and scenes such as Times Square, a Gap in Herald Square, T.G.I. Friday's and yellow taxi cabs on the city streets. Images of terrorist sharpshooter and those who wear suicide belts are also included in the video.

New York Police Department released a statement about the video that points out attack in New York saying: "We are aware of the newly-released ISIS video that mentions Times Square. While some of the video footage is not new, the video reaffirms the message that New York City remains a top terrorist target."

The NYPD affirms that they will remain at a "heightened state of vigilance" and they will continue to communicate and work with the FBI, the Joint Terrorism Task Force, and the whole intelligence community in order to keep New York City safe.

New York mayor Bill de Blasio adviced all New Yorkers to still live normally despite of the threat.
"Stoking fear is the goal of terrorist organizations, but New York City will not be intimidated," he proudly said late Wednesday. "We understand it is the goal of terrorists to intimidate and disrupt our democratic society. We will not submit to their wishes."

"The NYPD is the most capable police force in the country, with a robust counterterrorism operation that was just strengthened with an investment of 500 additional officers. While Times Square and Herald Square appear in the video, the NYPD in conjunction with all of our partners are taking all necessary security precautions in these areas and areas across the City. New Yorkers won't live in fear and people should continue to go to work, live their lives, and enjoy the greatest city in the world."

According to CNN analyst for terrorism Paul Cruickshank, the officials must not ignore the said video whether it's a threat or not.

ISIS caught everyone's attention after its takeover to Iraq and Syria because of violence and destruction. The terrorist group also claimed responsible for the several attack on Paris.
