Wonder Woman Cast: Gal Gadot And Chris Pine Begin Shooting DC Comics Superheroine Film, Who’s Joining Amazon Princess?

Weeks after Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman was rumored to be nearing the "Wonder Woman" cast, the film has officially begun shooting, with star Gal Gadot recently sharing the first snap for the movie - and finally, there's more news about who else will be joining her Diana Prince!

According to Coming Soon, the film has just begun its official shoot (days after that first picture of Chris Pine in World War I-era costume leaked on Instagram) and Gadot released the first set pic on her own Twitter account - and even more importantly, there are new additions to the "Wonder Woman" cast!

As Comic Book Resources reports, after days of speculation regarding the beginning of the film's production, Warner Bros. has finally confirmed the shoot's already started, also confirming Saïd Taghmaoui's presence in the "Wonder Woman" cast besides a few new surprises.

Other people joining the "Wonder Woman" cast include "House of Cards" actress Robin Wright, Hollywood royalty Danny Huston (grandson of actor Walter, son of director John and brother of actress Anjelica), "Harry Potter" alum David Thewlis, "Trainspotting" star Ewen Bremner, "La Piel Que Habito" Spanish star Elena Anaya and "Shaun of the Dead" actress Lucy Davis.

For now, other than Gadot playing Diana Prince/Wonder Woman and Pine portraying the superheroine's boyfriend Steve Trevor, which characters the rest of the cast will be portraying remains a total mystery.

According to Forbes, there have been numerous reports of a few key roles in the "Wonder Woman" cast, with Kidman's name being tossed around as a possible Amazon warrior as well as "Game of Thrones" star Sean Bean reportedly being up for a villain role alongside "Penny Dreadful" French actress Eva Green.

It's unclear whether any of them will end up in the film or if they've been replaced by any of the confirmed stars - but surely more news about the "Wonder Woman" cast will pop up ahead of its June 23, 2017 release date!
