'The Big Bang Theory' To Be Cancelled After Season 10?

It has been 9 seasons now that the hit CBS sitcom is running and everybody knows we're talking about The Big Bang Theory. Ever since it aired its pilot in 2007, the show was unstoppable from gaining success and fans loving it, resulting to an immense amount of ratings. The show was renewed to make a come back for season 10 and it is no surprise if they do so.

It is even expected to get better with the angle that Sheldon (played by Jim Parsons) apparently can fall in love. It is something that was completely out of the question when the show started. His character can't even hold hands with people because of his fear of germs. But his character has indeed evolved into a more vulnerable human being after Amy (played by Mayim Bialik) came in the picture.

Now, a lot of people are wondering if the show would continue after season 10. Hollywood is a tricky place because there is really no such thing as a sitcom that could last for a lifetime. If that happens with TBBT, then that could be something recorded in the Guiness. There's also the question if the showrunners would decide to end it on a high note or let the ratings go low before they finally cancel it.

Kunal Nayyar shared his thoughts regarding the subject and it was pretty straight and hopeful. He recently told The Miami Herald that as much as he wants the show to go on after season 10, that is really something that is not his call. He can only hope that it would happen. Right now that they are about to enter their 10th season, he said that everybody who is part of the show is already feeling nostalgic.

But so far, as of the moment, there are no announcements from the network whether the show will be cancelled anytime soon, especially that it is still at its peak.

Fans can still watch The Big Bang Theory on Thurdays at 8pm via CBS.
