Spider-Man (Tom Holland) is finally joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While the "Spider-Man" 2017 reboot remains untitled, latest rumors suggest that characters will likely include Mary Jane Watson and Kraven the Hunter as the main villain.

Much of the details in the "Spider-Man" 2017 reboot have been kept under wraps, but Director John Watts recently revealed that his version of the masked crawler will be focusing on younger Spidey and his life in high school.

Watts stated in an interview that the "Spider-Man" 2017 reboot will show a Peter Parker/Spider-Man who's trying to balance everyday life and fighting bad guys as a masked vigilante. Watts also listed comics upon which he would like to incorporate the "Spider-Man" 2017 reboot. They include the "Ultimate Spider-Man" and "Spider-Man Loves Mary-Jane."

According to Yahoo Movies, the director confirmed that Mary Jane will be back as Spider-Man's love interest.

In Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" trilogy, Kirsten Dunst played the eponymous role of Mary Jane Watson. Rumored as the next Mary Jane is "Divergent" star Shailene Woodley. However, Marvel Studios has not yet to make an official statement regarding the "Spider-Man" reboot cast in 2017, according to Yibada.

Aside from Mary Jane Watson, another character rumored to star in the "Spider-Man" reboot is the villain Sergei Kravinoff, a.k.a. Kraven the Hunter. In a Youth Health report, Marvel president Kevin Feige reportedly said that he doesn't want to bring back old villains from past Spider-Man films. Instead, he wants to introduce other villains from the comics.

Meanwhile, other villains rumored to star in the "Spider-Man" 2017 reboot are Scorpion, Vulture, Chameleon, Mysterio and Morlun.

Jon Watts, who helmed the film "Cop Car," is set to direct the much-anticipated Spider-Man reboot. Screenplay is penned by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M.Goldstein, according to Screen Rant.

Spider-Man will be introduced first in "Captain America: Civil War" on May 6, 2016 before he is to appear in his solo film, slated for release July 28, 2017.
