93-Year-Old Lonely Man Goes To McDonald's Everyday, Gets Surprise Party! [PHOTOS]

We've all heard of heartwarming stories of the elderly coping with the loneliness after losing their partners or even just a loved one. This new story will definitely help you restore your faith in humanity.

93-year-old Harry Scott is your typical elderly man, except that since his wife's death, he's been eating McDonald's Happy Meals practically everyday to cope with his loss (photo here). Unilad reports:

"Harry Scott visits his local restaurant in Workington, Cumbria at least six times a week following the death of his wife Martha. He has become a massively popular customer with staff that he even has his own table."

To celebrate his 93rd birthday last week, the McDonald's staff actually put together a surprise party for Harry Scott! It involved some balloons, some banners, some shortbread and even some whiskey!

To top it all off, the staff at the McDonald's location also offered him his usual Happy Meals for - you guessed it - FREE! Take a look at a photo of Harry Scott with the McDonald's crew here.

Talking to the Daily Mail, Harry definitely felt emotional with the surprise party, saying: "The kids who come in here are mine as I don't have any of my own. It's company for me. When they threw the surprise party I had to wipe my eyes."

As it turns out, the senior citizen lost his wife six years ago. It was in 2013 when he started going to McDonald's six times a week where he started to make friends with fellow customers and the fast food chain's staff.

Staff member Jack Holliday says, "He's a one-off. We get regular customers but he's one that stands out. He's bubbly and full of life, especially for a 93-year-old."

He still goes to the same McDonald's store everyday - except Sundays, because he goes to his goddaughter's for a good homemade meal.

Although the man hailing from High Harrington typically goes to the Golden Arches for a Happy Meal in the early afternoon, he sometimes even makes another visit for dinner.
