Ian Somerhalder On Leaving 'The Vampire Diaries" And The Cast Wants Nina Dobrev Back

Rumor has it that 'The Vampire Diaries' and its cast's relationship is on the rocks. Apparently, it turns out that most of the cast are in favor of Nina Dobrev (as Elena) and were upset when she left the show. Consequently, it is looking like they are turning on Ian Somerhalder that he wants his character off the story.

Lots of publications online have written about this on going rumor regarding Somerhalder and the indifferences he has been getting with his colleagues. KpopStarz even wrote saying that the cast wanted the actor to just leave and have Dobrev replace him instead. In the article that they recently released, they even said that the cast is almost begging the producers to have Dobrev back working on the show again.

What could be the reason for their angst against Somerhalder? Apparently it's because he's stealing the scene now that Dobrev has left the show. It seems that they couldn't take much more of how he approached the whole departure of Dobrev.

It must be hard to work with all this negative tension going on in the set for an actor, but Somerhalder is keeping his head high and just being professional from all these rumors going on. Variety published a recent interview with the actor and it seems that he is taking all these criticisms very well and he is just remaining hopeful for the betterment of the show. He even said that 'The Vampire Diaries' is actually in a good place now since the role of Elena has finally been cut off.

He was just pointing out that the whole story became even more creative and a bit challenging since, but it is a good thing because both actors and the writers are being sent out of their comfort zones.
