Coming To America: A Hello Kitty Cafe in California!

Whether or not you love Sanrio or Hello Kitty, we're pretty sure someone in your life does, and this might just come in handy to score you some points on their board.

There's already a Hello Kitty-themed coffee shop in Seoul, Korea and the United States is soon to see their own by the end of November in Orange County. The Los Angeles Times reports:

"A Hello Kitty Café is scheduled to pop up in a metal shipping container at the Irvine Spectrum Center in late November. The makeshift café will serve the same Hello Kitty treats that the Hello Kitty Café truck sold when it debuted last year during the Hello Kitty Convention in Los Angeles."

Just in case you're wondering, the shipping container doesn't really go with the adorable theme of Hello Kitty, and to they're instead painting it pink as compensation, as reported by the ChipChick.

However, according to The Daily Meal, the metal container will only house the Hello Kitty Café temporarily - as a pop-up. Not to worry though, a permanent Hello Kitty Café will open in the West Coast by next year.

So what can you expect from the Hello Kitty Café? Think of it as Disneyland, except the treats are shaped and inspired by Hello Kitty. There are doughnuts, bow-shaped water bottles colored pink, colorful macarons, miniature cakes, and Hello Kitty cookies.

Not only that, but Hello Kitty's squad - My Melody, Keroppi, Little Twin Stars and Chococat - can also be seen on some sweet treats.

But it's not all sweet and desserts; Hello Kitty Café's managing partner Allan Tea also said that customers can also get savory food like salads, sandwiches, and even sliders.

There's also a tea service on a daily basis, and the menu will also include artisanal sodas and coffee from Portola Coffee Lab.
