Former Subway Spokesman Jared Fogle, Now Ex-Wife Finalize Divorce

Subway guy Jared Fogle, who was a spokesperson for Subway restaurants for five years, has finalized divorce with his wife Katie McLaughlin, Fox News reported.

Fogle and his ex-wife McLaughin have worked on the completion of their divorce just days before the former television spokesperson was sentenced to spend more than 15 years in jail after he was charged with an alleged child pornography and being accused of paying underage girls for sex, as stated on the court records.

A Boone County judge approved the ex-couple's filed divorce on November 16, Monday, which happened to be three days before Fogle received his sentence from a federal judge in Indianapolis.

While there has been no exact reason stated as to why they end up with a divorce after five years of being together, reports say that McLaughlin filed for divorce in mid August after she learned about Fogle pleading guilty of charges engaging him to unlawful sexual conduct with minors and the alleged distribution of child pornography.

As the court documents of the divorce proceedings are finally made available for public, the papers have reportedly come out with the September filing of McLaughlin's lawyer to argue on the request made by Fogle, that would allow him to spend time with his two kids.

Reports say that the suit states Jared Fogle has 14 victims and added that he "is an admitted pedophile and consumer of child pornography." Besides that, it also claims that McLaughlin had an out of the state planned trip and decided to remain there with their children to keep them away from the "self-inflicted media circus" that her former husband made through his criminal acts.

According to the court records, Fogle is said to be guilty of allegedly having sex with two minors in hotels located in New York City, adding that the accused had also filmed 12 other victims, which made him agree to pay each with $100,000 to compensate for his damages.

While the court documents have been made available not too long after the judge granted the divorce, the details about the ex-couple's financial terms are reportedly not included.
