'Jessica Jones' Now Has A Spin-off Starring Her Boyfriend On The Show

The success of the Netflix new series 'Jessica Jones' is evident now that the network is already working for its spin-off. The character of Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) has a superhero boyfriend named Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and he is the one who is going to star on the original series' spin-off.

It is not surprising that Colter gets to have his own spotlight this time because he is doing a great job with his acting, but for him to do it sooner was a bit of a shock for some since the show just started in the middle of this year.

In an article published by The Inquisitr, Luke Cage's character being linked to Jessica Jones as his love interest was somewhat not pure. In the middle of this season, fans discovered that Jessica was kind of just using Luke for something that is related to her past. And without that reason, she won't be interested in him.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Colter shared how his character became romantically intertwined with Jessica. "He gets pulled into Jessica Jones' world because they share a common ground, they share a history that they both discover later," the actor revealed.

People have noticed that the two of them are quite different from each other, yet their relationship seems to be working out. The actor explained that it is about how "opposites attract." Jessica is the tough one who is always a hot head, while Luke is the calm one and very low key in doing his thing. He is his own person.

And regarding the spin-off, Colter told TV Guide that his character would mean that he is leaving Hell's Kitchen to move to Harlem. He will find himself working as a professional superhero. Professional because he will be for hire.
