New 'Star Wars' Ice Cream Comes in Light and Dark! Which Side Are You On?

It's official! There is now a "Star Wars" ice cream, which in fact has two flavors amply named the "Light Side" and the "Dark Side."

The release of the new "Star Wars"-themed dessert comes just in time prior to the release of the highly-anticipated "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

The new "Star Wars" ice cream was released by Brooklyn-based creamery, Ample Hills, according to Mashable.

Though there isn't exactly a "Light Side" of the Force, the creamery introduced the Light Side ice cream which is made of bright marshmallow ice cream, homemade crispie clusters and smidges of handmade cocoa crispies, reportedly representing the dark side lurking in the brightness of the light.

As for the "Dark Side" ice cream, it has been made with "ultra-dark chocolate ice cream with espresso fudge brownies, cocoa crispies." In addition, to represent the light side in the dark, the ice cream has white chocolate pearls

It's a surprise it took long for a creamery to come up with a "Star Wars" ice cream, but nevertheless it's great that Ample Hills decided to release their new flavors.

"As a sci-fi writer in my past professional life, and a longtime Star Wars fan, this is a dream collaboration. And to be able to work with Lucasfilm and Disney Consumer Products to create new ice cream flavors that represent the two sides of the Force... that might just be the coolest thing we've ever done," according to Ample Hills Creamery co-owner, Brian Smith, in a statement via Game Spot.

The "Star Wars" ice cream, which comes in packs of four, is currently available for orders at the Ample Hills website here.

They are priced at $36.

Now you can binge-watch "Star Wars" Episodes 1 to 6 with the new "Star Wars" ice cream. Let's just hope the Force is with you so you wouldn't get brain freeze. May the Force be with you!
