Robin Thicke’s Wife Left Him Over His Drug Use, The ‘Blurred Lines’ Singer Confesses

Robin Thicke's wife Paula Patton couldn't tolerate him coming clean to her about his drug use, the 'Blurred Lines' singer said in a recently released deposition from the current trial where Marvin Gaye's family accuses him, Pharrell Williams and Clifford "T.I." Harris Jr. of ripping off the legend's song 'Got to Give It Up.'

The deposition was made last April but was to be kept secret by court order; however, The Hollywood Reporter released it after it was made public for the first time by a Los Angeles federal court last Monday. Oddly enough, Robin Thicke's wife was part of the statement, as he declared she had left him after he had been brutally honest with her about his drug and alcohol abuse.

The break-up between Robin Thicke's wife and the singer has been all over the news since it was first announced in February. From that moment on, he has been quick to talk about how badly he behaved in interviews and on tour, even releasing an album called "Paula" as a way of asking for forgiveness from the woman with whom he was with for over a decade.

The singer is now in the middle of a strong legal battle against the family of soul legend Marvin Gaye, who claim last year's hit song 'Blurred Lines' was copyright infringement, taking the feel and sound of Gaye's 'Got To Give It Up'; in a 2013 interview, Thicke had even said he'd gone for a sound similar to the song. However, in court he said he'd been under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time, explaining it was why Robin Thicke's wife had left him.

Robin Thicke's wife, estranged Paula Patton has made it clear she has no plans to get back together with her husband, the father of their son Julian Fuego, born in 2010. She has even been reported to have been flirting with 'The Leftovers' star and future husband of Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux.
