Chipotle’s Latest Promo – Win The Guan Hunter Game And Get Free Guac And Chips

Chipotle Mexican Grill plans to lure customers back to its doors with a possible free treat. Partnering with Avocados from Mexico, Chipotle launched an online game called Guac Hunter according to an Eater article by Cynthia Correa.

In the game, customers will have to spot the difference between two similar pictures within a set period of time. The price for winning the game is a free order of Guac and Chips sent to the winner's mobile device and redeemable at any Chipotle outlet in the United States and Canada.

This latest promo from the Mexican-themed restaurant did not surprise industry watchers who have been monitoring Chipotle's recovery efforts after the recent E. Coli outbreak this year. The chain suffered dwindling sales after the recent reported E. Coli illness. As of last week, sales continue to be in the negative territory or down 22 percent. However, this is already seen as an improvement for the company especially when compared to the 40 percent decrease in sales last January before CDC released its findings, according to an article by Jessica Wohl posted at the AdvertisingAge website.

It seems Chipotle is bent on pursuing the path of promotional activities and extensive marketing to convince customers to go back to its fold. According to Wohl, the company wants to prove that despite the recent implementation of safety protocols to guarantee the safety of its ingredients, the taste of the company's well-loved items such as the guacamole has not been affected.

This latest Guac promo comes after the well-received free burritos promotion. According to Eater, the company was surprised by the 5.3 million responses, with a recorded 14,000 coupon requests pouring in every minute. And by the way, those interested of the guacamole promo better play the game now. The promo lasts only from March 21 to March 31 or while supplies last, which might not be very long if the current guac promo becomes as popular as the free burrito one.
