The famous celebrity trainer, Harley Pasternak gave a little lecture about the new dairy products that can benefit people with their health and diet.

Pasternak is a New York Times best-selling author and a celebrity trainer and nutritionist who worked with Halle Berry, Lady Gaga, Robert Downy Jr., and Robert Pattinson. His recent works are "The Body Reset Diet" and "The 5-Factor Diet".

According to Pasternak, almond milk, soy milk and non-dairy coconut beverage are the substitute that can be used aside from milk. The mentioned dairy products are good for those who are lactose intolerant and those who are following the vegan lifestyle.

Soy milk is the most known dairy substitute today. It contains a significant amount of protein. Pasternak recommended the organic soymilk made with non-GMO soybeans. It has a zero Vitamin D but most are fortified with Vitamin D and Vitamin A. Soy milk does not have cholesterol and have a minimal saturated fat. Just like the usual dairy products, soy milk can be used in tea, coffee and smoothies.

Almond milk has 30 calories per 8 ounces, however, almond milk contains less protein than soy milk. It also has a higher saturated fat than nonfat milk. It has a thinner consistency comparable to milk which is makes it perfect fro coffee and tea.

Coconut beverage, this is referring to the coconut milk and not the one with canned coconut milk. It has 45 calories per cup but it has a higher fat and it contains saturated fat.

Rice milk must be prepared to boost its calcium content and must have thickeners to make the texture more palatable. Rice milk exceeds that number of calories in 1 percent fat milk and it is high in carbohydrates.

Hemp milk is made from the cannabis family, it has an amount of TCH which is used in marijuana. It is higher in fats than low-fat milk and it contains omega-3 fatty acids.
