SWASTIKA WALGREEN Gift Wrappers Being Pulled From Stores

Swastika Walgreen- What would you do if you see Swastika design on gift wrappers while shopping at Walgreen? This is exactly what a Southern California woman saw while she was in the Hanukkah section of Walgreen. Swastika designs imprinted on the gift wrappers caught her eyes at the Walgreen store.

The woman expressed her fury upon seeing the gift wrappers with design of swastika. Walgreen store immediately took action by recalling all the gift wrappers with swastika design. Cheryl Shapiro was totally stunned as she gazed upon the wrappers with obvious swastika design in blue and silver trimmings.

"It blew me away," Shapiro, a former Interior Designer expressed her feelings while talking to ABC News. "What the hell was that doing on there?"

The Swastika was a symbol of "Well being, good existence and good luck" in ancient times. However, the symbol was overturned when Adolf Hitler used the symbol that represents the Holocaust that killed millions of people.

Shapiro enveloped with anger called the manager at Walgreen in Northridge. She requested removal of all wrappers with design of Swastika. Walgreen was very quick in taking action. The manager first took two roll of wrappers with Swastika design from the rack.

The manager-on-duty had alerted their main office regarding the incident. Shapiro insisted pulling out not only from the store, but demanded removal of all wrappers with swastika. Walgreen spokesman Phil Caruso stated that Walgreen is now in the process of removing all the wrappers with swastika design.

Swastika Walgreen wrappers were not the first one to be pulled out from the market. In 2007, bags from fashion store Zara were recalled due to its embroidered swastika. The swastika designs were embroidered in four corners that also feature flowers and bicycles on the bags.

On April 2014, Zurbrueggen, a German furniture store recalled vintage-looking cups dubbed as Hitler cups with flower etchings and poem about roses, but the cups were bearing an image of Hitler and swastika stamps were also engraved on it.

On July 2014, Walmart, Sears and Amazon had pulled out on their websites home decoration poster with alleged Nazi Dachau concentration camp sign with phrase "Arbeit macht frei," which translates to "work makes you free."

Swastika Walgreen wrappers were already on the process of removal entirely from all the stores. Caruso stated that he has no idea on the quantity of the Swastika wrappers produced. He has not commented too regarding the designs of swastika in Walgreen.

The Swastika Walgreen wrappers were also bearing Hallmark tags. The renowned brand Hallmark has not responded regarding the alleged Swastika on gift wrappers.
