New York Knicks Faces A Dilemma On Carmelo Anthony’s Injury Status

New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher still insists the wait-and-see strategy in dealing with Carmelo Anthony's lingering knee injury. The injury has been bugging Anthony since the start of the regular season. Anthony has to miss his last two games and has to sit down for the remaining half of the heartbreaking loss against the Portland Trailblazers on Dec. 28.

Despite the bothersome injury Knicks coach Derek Fisher have yet to comment about his plans on pulling out Carmelo Anthony for the rest of the season so that he can have fully recovery on the injury that has plague d the player for quite some time already. According to some sports analysts, it would be better if Fisher will pull Anthony out of the roster before the now minor injury could grow and present a far bigger problem for the team. Fisher has already given a hint that he may not allow Anthony to play in the next game against the Milwaukee Bucks, he also added that the decision to completely pull Anthony for the rest of the season rests on the players own decision as well as the medical staff.

The Knicks organization is in a dilemma in dealing with Anthony's current status. It's either they have to put Anthony to the floor in order to help their ailing season risking his long-term health status, or they could pull him out of the roster and lose their biggest offensive contributor.

On an official statement Knick coach Derek Fisher said "No, I don't think shutting down is really the conversation that we're having. We're all talking about what's best for him, what's best for the team, and right now, it's taking some rest and recovery for the foreseeable future, in terms of maybe the next week or so. But not anything more than that has been discussed in terms of for the entire season. I still feel strongly that if he or we as a group feel that there's a need to do that, I think that we can get to the point where we can make that decision."
