IBM also stated that the Z13 can process 2.5 billion transactions per day.
Right now the biggest dilemma for IBM is whether their new mainframe can keep up with mobile or cloud computing. For financial institutions or companies that has already relied much of their computing needs to a mainframe computer, IBM Z13 is just the best option right now. Right now the price for a new IBM Z13 computer depends on the mainframes configuration; however the previous incarnation of the computer costs as much as $1 million.
