‘The Force Awakens’ Rumors: ‘Star Wars’ Concept Art Leaked – Was George Lucas Set To Direct? [PHOTOS]

Ever since the new "Star Wars" film was first announced back in October 2012, every single update regarding the upcoming film has become news - now, the latest is the "The Force Awakens" rumors, which see the famous franchise's prospective art for the new movie.

Besides the updates of "The Force Awakens" rumors regarding its new art, news has come out that, in the planning stages of the third "Star Wars" trilogy, there were talks from creator and veteran director George Lucas to direct at least the first movie, but they fell through as he went into other projects, such as his upcoming museum in Chicago.

According to Gizmodo, "The Force Awakens" rumors show some very retro-looking things going on in the upcoming film, more based in the old trilogy than really in the newer one, showing off some of the looks of spaceships and even costumes, in designs that are sure to catch the eye and love of fans of the classic trilogy.

Yahoo! News also reports that, besides "The Force Awakens" rumors, the very first teaser posters have begun to be seen in some spots, as the December premiere of the first film approaches. The very first poster has already been said to be spotted in a subway station in Japan, giving a lot of fans in the Asian country - and across the world - a breath of fresh air as the premiere approaches.

The first official poster for "Episode 7" was first posted on Twitter by "Star Wars" fan Paul Bateman, who is a co-host of a fan show about the story from a galaxy far far away, as well as being a concept designer and art director.

Also, in other news about "Star Wars" rumors, The Mirror has just reported that franchise creator George Lucas was originally attached to the new trilogy, though he was unable to ultimately commit to the amount of time this would require. A sad discovery for fans!
