Over the past couple of years, it seems like Benedict Cumberbatch is just about everywhere, from his Oscar-nominated role as Alan Turing in "The Imitation Game" to even a voice in the new animated film "The Penguins of Madagascar" - but it's Benedict Cumberbatch's wedding to fiancée Sophie Hunter that has made the biggest headlines!

Known for keeping his personal life private, it's not surprising that Benedict Cumberbatch married his pregnant fiancée in a very hush hush ceremony, though it included some of the coolest people in British show business - including a few of his "Sherlock" co-stars!

Fans of "Sherlock" will be pleased to know that, according to The Daily Mail, Jimmy Moriarty himself, BAFTA Award-winning Andrew Scott, was present when Benedict Cumberbatch married Sophie. Surely the actor could take a break from his busy schedule, as he's filming the latest James Bond movie all over Europe, playing one of the villains alongside Oscar-winning actor Christoph Waltz.

In any case, People Magazine reports that when Benedict Cumberbatch married his girlfriend Sophie Hunter in the Isle of Wight, the largest island of England, which was also the summer residence of Queen Victoria way back in the 19th century. The ceremony was in the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Mottistone, and the whole thing was a very "Downton Abbey" kind of affair.

Some of the famous guests included "Thor" actor Tom Hiddleston, who's been a close friend of Cumberbatch for a while, and they both even co-starred in the Steven Spielberg film "War Horse" a few years back. Other guests included playwright Polly Stenham, pianist James Rhodes, actor Tobias Menzies and the lead singer of Elbow, Guy Garvey.

Of course, one person who couldn't miss seeing Benedict Cumberbatch married was his "Sherlock" co-star and friend Martin Freeman, who was reportedly the best man!

In a recent statement to BBC, Benedict Cumberbatch's married news were confirmed by the actor himself, who said that it had been "a magical day."
