Blue Bell Recall 2015: Amid Listeria Outbreak, Blue Bell Creameries Recalls ALL Ice Cream Products

Only a few weeks back, the Texas-based ice cream company saw its first recall in its 108 year-old history following concerns that some of their products contained the bacteria that causes listeriosis - and now, the Blue Bell recall of 2015 has extended to every single one of the company's products.

It's been a nightmare in the company and its different production factories in different states, as the Blue Bell recall of 2015 has grown rapidly since mid March, and other companies like Amy's Kitchen and Sabra have also had to recall products as Listeria concerns grow all over the country following a string of people that have fallen ill.

Now, a month and a half after the first bout of the Blue Bell recall of 2015, CNN reports that the company has extended its recall once again, this time including every single product they make throughout the entirety of their factories, as fears of contamination persist.

In a statement published last Monday, the company made it clear that the Blue Bell recall of 2015 would now include the missing products from previous recalls to expand to every single one they make; something that means, as they've stated, that authorities have found traces of the listeria bacteria in different places and plants all over the country, proving that their products are currently unsafe.

Yahoo! News reports that the company isn't sure how the bacteria ended up in its facilities, as the company's chief executive Paul Kruse specified recently; however, they intend to do the "100 percent right thing" by expanding the Blue Bell recall of 2015, as they take out all their products off the market until the company can resolve its inner problem of contamination.

In the early days of the recall, there were five deaths at a Kansas hospital and five other contaminated and ill from the bacteria, between Kansas and Texas.

"At this point, we cannot say with certainty how Listeria was introduced to our facilities, and so we have taken this unprecedented step," wrote the company, explaining the Blue Bell recall of 2015.
