Four people in La Mesa, California robbed a Little League snack bar, taking food, a cash register, and other property, reports UTSanDiego.com. Police were originally notified because of a noise complaint just before midnight on Thursday.
When officers arrived, there was nobody at the snack bar, but there was evidence that people had broken in. Colin Atwood, the La Mesa Police Sargeant, described what he saw: “We found a trail of chips, candy, and other snacks leading away from the scene and up the street,” he said.
The wrapper trail led eventually ended when police found where snacks stashed were found behind a vehicle. When law enforcement searched the house that the car was parked in front of, they found more property belonging to the Little Leauge. A cash register was found inside a bedroom.
Four suspects -- a man, two women, and a girl -- were arrested on burgelary charges. There is no word about whether the suspects were also charged with littering.
At least the robbers that stole vegetables from an Omaha, Nebraska community garden were health conscious.
