Rebel Wilson Age: ‘Pitch Perfect’ Star Actually 35 Instead Of 29 – Media Goes WILD Over Lie!

After the recent nationwide release of the sequel to one the films that made her a star, "Pitch Perfect 2," the actress is currently more under the scope than at any other time, as people from her past speak out about what was she like growing up in Australia - and even disputing what she claims is Rebel Wilson's age!

The actress has been working in Hollywood since the late 2000s but didn't really make it big until appearing in the 2011 film "Bridesmaids" and then cementing her status in the first Anna Kendrick-starring film "Pitch Perfect," but now it's Rebel Wilson's age and not her acting or singing chops making headlines.

According to The Independent, Rebel Wilson's age had been thought of being 29 up until recently, as the actress and comedienne had marked February 3, 1986 as her birth year; however, people from her school have now come out to say otherwise.

The first imprecisions regarding Rebel Wilson's age were first reported by Australian tabloid Woman's Day earlier this week, as the magazine talked to one of the actress' old classmates, who said that she had added some "fantasy" to her life before Hollywood, saying that she was actually 36 and had had an upper middle-class upbringing.

In the past, besides saying a different number for Rebel Wilson's age, the actress had also stated that she had had something of a "gypsy upbringing" by living in a Sydney ghetto in her younger years.

It was Sydney Morning Herald who confirmed the actress' real age is actually 35, after finding business records in the Australian Securities and Investment Commission that have her down as having been born on March 2, 1980; she was also born with the surname Bownds but had it changed legally later in life.

Taking the Rebel Wilson age controversy in good spirits, the actress took to Twitter to say that she was actually a 100 year-old mermaid.
