49ers Quarterback Expresses Regret Over Unsympathetic Comments on Social Media

As Netizens all over the world have expressed concern and sympathy over the recent tsunami-like flood that hit Texas, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick made an unsympathetic comment about the catastrophe on Instagram.

During that time Kaepernick felt that posting a photo of some cars submerged in Texas' floodwaters would be a smart idea. He also came up with the caption "I warned you the #7tormscoming!!! #Houston"  which only made matters worse. This didn't sit all too well with a lot of people. Realizing his uncouth reaction, Colin Kaepernick expressed his regret over the insensitive comment that he made on social media.

Kaepernick explains that at that time, he didn't quite comprehend the severity of the effects left by the event. He admits that when he made his Instagram post, he didn't know that a lot of people had been left missing or that a number of people have lost their lives. He assumed he did not foresee that the deluge had left devastation and widespread destruction at its wake. After realizing the damage he has done,he deleted his post and issued an apology via Twitter that said "No disrespect intended! Prayers up!"

This was followed by another Instagram post he made of a bare-chested picture of himself under the caption "Just livin! #WhoDoYouLove #IDontGetTired" which gave people the impression of insincerity on his part. Kaepernick may have turned on the news hours after and saw the magnitude of the disaster in the lone star state. This prompted him to post a seemingly genuine and heartfelt apology.

The post said "I'm so sorry about my insensitive post earlier today. I didn't fully understand how many people are struggling in Houston right now and I feel horrible. My prayers are with everyone there." Forthright as it may sound; a small donation to the relief effort would certainly show how sincere he is.
