Marvel has finally narrowed down the shortlist of young actors who might play a teenaged Spider-Man in the upcoming 'Captain America: Civil War.'

According to Hollywood Reporter, the studio recently held a secret screen test on the set of the film, bringing six actors to try out for the coveted role. Two of the teenagers who were flown to Atlanta for the screening were top contender Asa Butterfield and stage actor Tom Holland.

There were speculations that Butterfield has already agreed to take the role, although the 'Ender's Game' star nor the studio have confirmed this. The 18-year-old actor has previously appeared in 'Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang' and the Martin Scorsese fantasy flick 'Hugo.'

Holland got his start on theater, playing the title role in 'Billy Elliot the Musical.' The 18-year-old played Naomi Watts' older son in the disaster drama 'The Impossible.'

The other four actors were Charlie Plummer, Matthew Lintz, Judah Lewis and Charlie Rowe. Plummer has previously appeared on HBO's 'Boardwalk Empire,' while Lintz has a supporting role in the upcoming Adam Sandler film 'Pixels.' Lewis is known for his work in the TV film 'Deliverance Creek'and will play the young Johnny Utah in the remake of 'Point Break.'

Rowe is the oldest of the bunch at 20, and has appeared in several TV series like 'Red Band Society' and 'The Secrets.'

The tests were attended by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, film producer Amy Pascal and 'Civil War' directors Anthony and Joe Russo. Due to scheduling constraints, the studio will need to choose a new Spider-Man as soon as possible.

In addition to playing a young incarnation of Peter Parker in 'Captain America: Civil War,' the chosen actor will also appear in future Spider-man films.
