The 2016 Universal Studios Harry Potter attraction in the West Coast (in the actual Hollywood lot of the major film studio, where the theme park is located) is the third of its kind, after the one in Florida and a second one in Osaka, Japan - and the Los Angeles park will even feature a new ride!
According to Techno Buffalo, the announcement of the 2016 Universal Studios Harry Potter attraction came last Tuesday by the major theme park, saying it will vary from its predecessors in a couple of things, including the signature ride "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey," which take visitors through some of the most memorable points of the books and movies - while this ride is present in the two previous parks, the one in Hollywood will be in 3D!
Tech Times reports that the 2016 Universal Studios Harry Potter attraction opening was actually five years in the making, as they were improving the same park on its other two locations - while also working on the big addition of the park: a new rollercoaster.
The coaster making its debut on the 2016 Universal Studios Harry Potter attraction will be called "Flight of the Hippogriff" in honor of the fantastic beast introduced in the third installment, and where Harry's godfather Sirius Black ultimately escapes from getting his soul sucked out of his body by scary Dementors.
The "Hippogriff" ride will actually be the first-ever outdoor coaster in the Hollywood park altogether!
Other treats fans can expect from the 2016 Universal Studios Harry Potter attraction are the Three Broomsticks, Hog's Head Pub and even a Butterbeer car - true heaven for wizards and muggles alike!
