Black Teens Get Threatened By Texas Officer; Draws His Gun at Them

In McKinney Texas, a Texas officer was suspended for drawing his gun at several black teens. The incident was also caught on video and is now viral on the Internet. Police were called to a party at Craig Ranch North Community Pool because of reports of a fight that occurred.

Police reported that the incident involved "multiple juveniles" in the location who were in that area but apparently did not live there or have the authority to throw a party and are refusing to leave. The officer then forced a number of teenagers to lie on a grass verge and a sidewalk and telling others to "get your ass out of here". Some teenagers were then handcuffed.

When other teenagers surrounded him to remonstrate, he drew his gun. Two other officers moved to restrain him, and the officer re-holsters the weapon. The officers actions raised questions amongst the parents of the teens seen in the video.

One parent wanted to press for the officer in question to be fired. McKinney Police chief Greg Conley gave a statement about this incedent and said "Several concerns about the conduct of one of the officers at the scene have been raised," "The McKinney police department is committed to treating all persons fairly under the law. We are committed to preserving the peace and safety of our community for all our citizens." Conley did not mention the name of the officer.

The police officer was put on administrative leave until further notice. According to eyewitnesses around the neighborhood, a woman who lives in the community reserved the pool for a party. The limit of the number of guests each homeowner may have at the pool is only up to two. But surprisingly, more than a hundred people, mostly teens, showed up for the woman's party.
