Hollywood pop singer Miley Cyrus was recently seen on a date with an agender person during the amfAR Gala on Tuesday night in New York City. It's an event that helps raise funds for AIDS and HIV victims. It is also a gala that raises the awareness of the disease to the public.
After the she came out saying she told her mother that she is a bisexual at the early age of 14, she brought a date who wants to be identified as an "agender" named Tyler Ford. Access Hollywood reported that the former Disney star of Hannah Montana introduced her said date on using her Instagram account. She said that Ford is a 24-year-old New Yorker who also happens to be her date for that said occasion.
The website Xposé also saw what the "Bangerz" singer posted on her Instagram when she continued the caption on explaining her date's sexual orientation. She called her biracial, queer and an agender and suggests the use of pronouns they/them/theirs when referring to her friend. Cyrus also showed off her hairy underarms while the paparazzi were all over her on the red carpet.
The singer is currently spearheading a foundation called Happy Hippie and deals with the LGBT and homeless youth in the United States. She is helping raise awareness of the issue and it is one of the reasons everybody is assuming why she brought Ford in the event as her date. Ford is also a friend of another pop singer, Ariana Grande.
WWTD elaborated the definition of being an "agender" and according to them; it means someone who is neutral when it comes to having a gender and someone who has experienced being bullied by the other kids because of their identity. These were also the definition of the singer who trying to abolish labels in the society.
