Mission Impossible 5 Takes Action To All New Heights: The Most Dangerous Stunt

The lastest edition of the Mission Impossible film franchise is coming soon to theatres. Tom Cruise stars in the upcoming Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, with new characters, new gadgets, and more importantly, new death defying stunts added. One stunt in particular is the airplane stunt where in he is seen hanging from the side of the plane while it is taking off.

The scene in question, which can be seen at the end of the brand new trailer, sees his character Ethan Hunt strapped to the side of an Airbus A400M plane as it takes off. What makes it more thrilling is that Cruise himself did the stunt. He teased Mission Impossible fans in November 2014 when he was seen hanging from the side of a plane. Introduced to new counterpart Ilsa Faust, the new lethal agent played by Rebecca Ferguson, Tom is helped to escape the clutches of an enemy and uses only his feet to hit out at the kidnappers.

In another thrilling scene, the actor is seen driving a bike off a cliff into an explosion as he speeds off on two wheels.

Mission Impossible 5, directed by Christopher McQuarrie, will see the Field Agent for secret agency Impossible Mission Force, for a fifth time. Producers have noticeably brought the release date forward to July 31, to avoid a clash with Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The preceding fourth installment Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol was released in December 2011 and grossed more than $700million at the box office worldwide.Set to the backdrop of Ready Or Not by the Fujis, the trailer appears to show Hunt on a mission alongside Faust to bring down 'the syndicate.' Hunt calls them a 'rogue nation,' which are trained to do what Hunt and Dunn do and go against the Impossible Missions Force.

And the follow up is sure to be an exciting one as Tom was straight up to heights of 5,000ft on what was to be a clear day for flying in the rural UK location. Back in November, the Hollywood actor surpassed himself when he put himself in grave danger, hanging from the side of an Airbus A400M in a full tailored suit while the aircraft flew over the UK. Tom, who's scaled the world's tallest building and free climbed Colorado's 2,000ft canyons for the Mission Impossible movie franchise, was once again going solo on the death-defying stunt.
