Nick Kyrgios' Brother Christos Says Dawn Fraser's Apology 'Means Nothing!'

Christos Kyrgios appeared on The Project on Tuesday, when he was questioned about Fraser's recent comments that his brother Nick Kyrgios and fellow tennis player Bernard Tomic should "go back where their parents came from."

Christos admitted that he was totally disappointed about Fraser's racist comment for he believed that as an athlete, Fraser should be a role model for all people.

He exclaimed, "I think it's so bad. I'm honestly, I can't describe how disappointed I am."

"This person is meant to be a role model, a lot of people look up to and going and saying something that is for me, like, it's primitive."

"Immediately after reading it I think of, you know, all my friends who have come to Australia, I think of my grandparents, parents who came to Australia, multiculturalism and what we try to represent to the world as a nation, and look, that goes against everything we stand for as a country," Christos added.

On Tuesday afternoon, Fraser released a statement pointing on her "racist comments," which she stated that her "intended message was not delivered as articulately" as it could have been.

She stated, "I want to unreservedly apologise for any comments that I made this morning which may have caused offence to my fellow Australians including Nick and his family."

"Nick's behaviour on court can be construed many different ways from different people. Some people may think it is acceptable, some may not. Some people may understand, some may not. But that is black and white racist to me."

Just this morning on Today show, Christos appeared and He said, "I can't say the apology really means much to me, and I can't speak of behalf of everybody else, but those comments were pretty black and white."

"I don't think there's many ways you could take what she said. I guess it's a matter of forgive but not forget.

"I'm not one to hold a grudge, but it probably wasn't the most appropriate thing to say at the time, I don't think," he added.

Nick is reportedly considering of quitting tennis over the criticism and comments he received. He might consider to get advice from sports psychologist. Hopefully more tennis results will be seen from him.
