News outlets around the world continue to follow every bit of news from Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's current divorce after nearly a decade together and three children, and rumor has it things are about to get nasty for the couple who met shooting the ill-fated "Daredevil."
Currently, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are working together outside court to figure out the custody arrangements for their three children (9 year-old Violet, 6 year-old Seraphina and 3 year-old Samuel), as well as setting things up money-wise, as it has come out the couple, oddly enough, didn't have a pre-nup.
According to The Mirror, even though Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have seemed to be on good terms since their split was announced, new reports say they're actually preparing for a "bitter fight," as Affleck is pursuing joint legal and physical custody, while Garner wants to be the primary go-to person when it comes to the three children.
"Ben's attorney has advised him that he needs to be around as much as possible to show that he's responsible and involved in his children's everyday lives," said an insider to Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's lives, according to Radar Online. "He wants joint legal and physical custody - he doesn't want to let Jen take the kids away from him. But those kids are Jen's main priority and she wants sole physical custody. It's turning into a bitter fight."
As Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner rumors are all over the place, the actor and director is currently in Atlanta taking care of the children, while estranged wife Garner shoots the film "Miracles from Heaven" in the Georgia city.
As for why the "Dallas Buyers Club" actress wants sole physical custody, it seems like the reasoning is fairly disturbing: Affleck can reportedly reach some "dark places" and Garner doesn't want the children around to see this.
Life and Style Magazine reports it's even been a tough "custody" battle on the front of their friends, with many of them taking sides: Matt Damon's of course going with Affleck as well as George Clooney and Bradley Cooper, while Jessica Biel and Victor Garber are there for Garner in these tough times.
In the meantime, as it has been widely reported in the midst of the Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner split, the "Suicide Squad" actor is still wearing his wedding ring to public functions.
