Felix Baumgartner completed his mission successfully to jump from 120,000 feet above the earth and land safely, and has officially broken the record for highest manned balloon flight and freefall from the highest altitude, both at 120,000 feet. Additionally, he has set the record for fastest freefall at 729 miles per hour.
Baumgartner, right before his leap from the capsule and weather balloon, could be heard saying "I know the world is watching. I wish the world could see what I see," as he looked down at earth from space.
