‘Star Wars’ Netflix: Disney Bringing Lucasfilm Shows To Netflix After Marvel’s ‘Daredevil’ And ‘AKA Jessica Jones’?

Last spring, Netflix proved to be an amazing ally for Disney projects after the release of the first Marvel Cinematic Universe show in the site, "Daredevil" starring Charlie Cox - but rumor has it there might be a new partnership in the works with "Star Wars" Netflix shows!

Ever since Disney bought George Lucas' multi-billion-dollar company in 2012, there have been many announcements regarding the company's two biggest franchises (clue: the ones originally starring Harrison Ford), and although "Indiana Jones" projects have been slow on the uptake, the galaxy far far away is getting a lot of love with at least four films in the near future - and, it would seem, "Star Wars" Netflix shows.

According to Cinema Blend, rumor has it that it's not just that "Star Wars" and Netflix are looking into working together, there might actually be three shows in the making, as the franchise has its hands full with three more episodes (the first of which is released later this year) and two confirmed spinoffs, "Rogue One" and a Han Solo prequel.

The exclusive on "Star Wars" Netflix alliance came from Cinelinx, who first reported on the possibility of a live-action "Star Wars" series a few months back - and it seems like now that some of the upcoming films are confirmed, the producers can finally focus on the television wing of the franchise.

According to Screen Rant, the "Star Wars" Netflix report says that the three series currently on early stages would all be live-action exclusively shown in the streaming website, which would make sense for two different reasons: the fact that Disney has already successfully partnered with Netflix in the past and how "Star Wars" producers have said they want to maintain the same "cinematic qualities" for their television projects, and Netflix is quite famous for giving a lot of freedom to its shows.

In any case, Disney hasn't confirmed any "Star Wars" Netflix alliance - but wouldn't that be awesome?
