Dublin Minion: ‘Despicable Breach’ Causes Giant Minion To Collapse Street On Irish Capital [PHOTOS]

The Minion craze hasn't stopped ever since these adorable yellow banana-eating characters were introduced during the first "Despicable Me" film back in 2010, so they've been growing in popularity in every major city on Earth - however, without a doubt, Dublin's Minion problem is the biggest one to date.

While it's all fun and games with toys of the characters all over the world, the Dublin Minion has already caused some major traffic accidents, as a giant inflatable doll the cartoon character suddenly appeared in the middle of a road in the capital city of Ireland, prompting crashes.

According to The Guardian, the Irish Police (officially called The Gardai) were called to the scene to remove the Dublin Minion from the middle of the street, after the 12 meter (40 feet) figure had caused chaos all over the city following its escape at a children's playground, as it landed in a busy road.

The Irish Times reports that the huge Dublin Minion came loose from where it was standing to the Swords Road in the city, and upon falling into the road, it clipped the wings off a car during a very windy moment last Monday afternoon.

"I don't want to sound like a killjoy, but if that had landed on a cyclist, for instance, it could have been serious," said Cllr Paul McAuliffe regarding the Dublin Minion. "If you take the Minion part of it out, if this was a large inflatable weather balloon that had not been properly tethered, there would be no humour in this story at all."

Of course, according to Newstalk, this didn't stop the Internet from going wild at the perspective of a random Minion somehow terrorizing a major city, as it would mean the characters are actually serving their evil purposes in real life - and there were news outlets all over the world covering this strange incident.

Thankfully, the Dublin Minion didn't harm anyone, though that doesn't mean its evil plan was somehow thwarted!
