Granny Ripper Kills and Possibly Eats Victims

Tamara Samsonova, a 68-year old Russian, was caught on surveillance camera lugging bags.  She is then seen removing the body of her last victim from the black bag. Police move in and capture the woman who is soon dubbed as the 'Granny Ripper'.  And that last victim - she killed her over an argument about dirty dishes.

According to Huffington Post, the severed head of her victim is found in a pond near St. Petersburg. It was the head of 79-year old Valentina Ulanova.  'Granny Ripper' was working for her as caregiver. She confessed to the murder, adding grisly details as follows:  they argued over dirty dishes. 'Granny Ripper' got angry, and gave her patient sleeping pills.  While she was sleeping, and still very much alive, she used a hacksaw on her.

A search in the house of 'Granny Ripper' yielded a diary where she kept records of her murders. She appeared to have killed 11 people in a span of 20 years. One was her tenant, Volodya, whom she cut into pieces in the bathroom, put in bags and threw them in different areas.  Police also suspect she killed her husband who went missing in 2005.

In the same diary, she kept record of black magic and astrology, and authorities say there might be a ritual to her killing.

They also suspect she eats parts of her victims, particularly the internal organs. She also is partial to eating lungs.  It has earned her another moniker:  'Grannibal Lecter'. Asked about this cannibalistic act, a police source said, 'it wasn't being excluded.'

In a police video after her arrest, she is seen blowing a kiss to the camera. When the judge announced she would be put in custody, she clapped her hands. She is set to undergo psychiatric evaluation to gauge if she is fit enough to stand trial.

Already, she is alleged to have admitted her crimes, 'I am guilty and I deserve punishment'.
