Nicole Scherzinger has allegedly found herself a new boy toy in none other than Ed Sheeran.
The 37-year-old Nicole and 24-year-old Ed have been spending more and more time with each other just lately and are said to be 'in the early stages of dating,' according to The Sun.
To nurse her heartbreak following her breakup with the racing star Lewis Hamilton, Nicole found solace in Ed’s songs, and their connection blossomed.
Since then, Ed Sheeran has had Nicole Scherzinger backstage at one of his shows and whisked her off to his hometown of Suffolk, where they had a drink at his local pub.
A source told The Sun’s Dan Wootton: "As far as he’s concerned they were in the early stages of dating and he’s been open about it with close friends and colleagues."
Another source told the newspaper: "When she split from Lewis, she was heartbroken but ended up playing Ed’s songs on a loop."
Nicole Scherzinger and Ed Sheeran are now closer than ever. “They’re extremely close,” a friend of Nicole’s added. “Nicole says he is the male version of her.”
Scherzinger posted a picture on Instagram in the early hours of July 12 of the pair together.
She captioned it: "Okay okay you win @edsheeran, you're taller."
She is also said to have dedicated a performance of Don’t Cha to Sheeran when she performed in Hollywood on July 27, saying: “This is for you, Ed.”
Nicole Scherzinger was said to be “heartbroken and devastated” when she split from Formula 1 star Hamilton in February, allegedly over his refusal to settle down.
It was the fourth time the couple had broken up during their seven-year relationship.
Ed Sheeran, who broke up with chef Athina Andrelos in March 2015, has been seen with a score of beautiful women ever since their relationship came to an end.
First, he was linked to stunning model Barbara Palvin who was also Niall Horan’s ex. He also reportedly dated Irish model Louise Johnston.
However, Ed Sheeran denied that saying his love life was “non-existent” only last month.
