It's five days away from Joe Jonas' 24th birthday so he was unsuspecting when girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, invited him and brought him to the Stub Hub Center, home of the soccer team, LA Galaxy. The surprise party held last Monday had an A-list group of guests including Kendall Jenner, Taylor Swift (ex-girlfriend of Joe Jonas), Bella (sister of Gigi) and Nick Jonas, younger brother of the birthday boy.
The celebration was a girls vs. boys soccer game, with the group having access to LA Galaxy's locker room, jerseys and playing field, as reported in the Daily Mail. Midway, the girls chose to cheer from the sides instead and tried to outdo each other with their cheers and yells.
Joe had a great time and documented the event with an Instagram post, 'thank you for the best surprise ever', with a picture of the group, with the hash tag, #megasquad.
Before the fashion model teamed up with the singer, Hadid was in a relationship with Australian singer, Cody Simpson, which ended in May 2015. By September, she was dating Joe Jonas.
Meanwhile, Joe dated his current girlfriend's BFF Taylor Swift in 2008. He then moved on to Camilla Belle, an actress who appeared in the music video of their band. They were together for a year before he dated actress-singer, Demi Lovato for a couple of months. The next girlfriend was Ashley Greene from October 2010 to March 2011. And just before current girlfriend, there was model Blanda Eggenschwiler.
The mega-couple Gigi and Joe, with their moniker 'Gi Joe', are also playing matchmaker, trying to get Nick and Kendall dating. According to reports, the two are getting to know each other over text. 'They had a flirty chemistry from the start'. But nobody is talking just yet, trying to keep their 'courtship' private.
