Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe Changing: Starbucks Adding Actual Pumpkin To Holiday Favorite!

After years of lobbying from favorites of this iconic fall drink, Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe is finally about to change into a more organic version, as the coffee giant adds real pumpkins to their drink, going all natural.

The revelation about the change in the Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe came through a blog post last Monday, as the fall is fast approaching, and with it possibly the most popular of all coffees served in Starbucks, after there had been lobbying for the drink to go organic for the past few years, with fans prompting the company to change the recipe to actually contain the ingredient it claims to have.

"After hearing from customers and partners about ingredients, we took another look at this beverage and why we created it so many years ago," said Peter Dukes, the Starbucks director for "Espresso and Brewed Coffee Americas," in the blog post announcing the new Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe. "It was simple - espresso, perfectly steamed milk, warm fall spices with delicious flavor of pumpkin pie that reminds you of the cool, crisp days of autumn."

According to USA Today, the change in the Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe will also include getting rid of its staple caramel coloring, as the company attempts a more natural way to flavor their staple caffeinated drink.

The Washington Post reports that the decision to change the Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe came at the hand of one very influential flood blogger, Vani Hari (better known as the "Food Babe"), spoke about the drink in a post from 2014, where she discovered that there were no actual pumpkins in the original recipe, as she published her second-ever exposé on what's behind Starbucks drinks in a post entitled "You'll Never Guess What's In A Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte (Hint: You Won't Be Happy)."

In any case, the Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe changes for the better, and it'll come back to Starbucks stores all over the country very soon!
