[WATCH] 'Supernatural' Stars Jensen Ackles And Mark Sheppard Perform Lynyrd Skynyrd's 'Simple Man' [VIDEO]

Dean Winchester may not be famous for being able to carry a tune, but 'Supernatural' star Jensen Ackles certainly knows how to rock out!

'Supernatural' fans are well aware that Jensen Ackles loves the classics. The post-credit scene of the episode 'Yellow Fever' from Season Four showed the actor lip-syncing to 'Eye of the Tiger,' and Ackles has been filmed singing the Winchesters' season finale theme 'Carry On Wayward Son' several times. However, fans who attended last weekend's 'Supernatural' convention in Vancouver were still in for a great treat.

Jensen Ackles took the stage together with 'Supernatural' costar Mark Sheppard to perform the Lynyrd Skynyrd classic 'Simple Man.' As if it wasn't enough to have Crowley the King of Hell playing drums, the bassist turned out to be Richard Speight Jr., who played the angel Gabriel in the show.

The performance at VanCom was recorded by several fans and immediately went viral.

Jensen Ackles may still have some time to relax and play his guitar, but things will be much more different for Dean Winchester when the eleventh season of 'Supernatural' premieres in October. The hunter and his brother Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) have successfully removed the Mark of Cain, but have also unleashed an ancient entity known only as the Darkness. According to Ackles, this evil being may be the toughest they have to deal with so far.

"As of right now we have it built as one specific entity, obviously that would be a character that we're introducing," Ackles told EW. "But whatever the reach of that character, what that character can do, we're not quite sure of. We don't know the scope of her powers."

Jensen Ackles also admitted that the Winchesters have no idea what they are up against.

"This one's interesting because it's not really a monster," he said. "It's more of a primal force that we know nothing about. There's no lore; there's no guidebook; there's no instruction manual on how to deal with this."

'Supernatural' returns to The CW on October 7.
