Daniel Craig Talks About Playing James Bond In 'Spectre,' Says The Spy Is "Very F--king Lonely"

There is another James Bond film coming, and Daniel Craig will once again play the famous spy who enjoys his women, martinis and gadgets as much as any other man. However, the actor wants the world to know that it isn't easy being James Bond because he's not as cool and suave as most people think.

"He's very f--king lonely," Craig told Esquire. "There's a great sadness. He's f--king these beautiful women but then they leave and it's... sad. And as a man gets older it's not a good look. It might be a nice fantasy - that's debatable - but the reality, after a couple of months..."

The actor should know. Daniel Craig has already played James Bond in three other films, 'Casino Royale,' 'Quantum of Solace' and 'Skyfall.' He also wants to make it clear that the new Bond isn't like the spy who mistreated women in the earlier movies, but he still likes the ladies.

"Hopefully, my Bond is not as sexist and misogynistic as [earlier incarnations]," Craig said. "The world has changed. I am certainly not that person. But he is, and so what does that mean? It means you cast great actresses and make the parts as good as you can for the women in the movies."

Daniel Craig also admitted that he was initially worried about being typecast if he took the role of James Bond, but things have changed since the last three films.

"I relaxed," Craig said about working on 'Spectre.' "It was like, 'F--k it. I'm James Bond, for f--k's sake. So I'll do James Bond.'"

The actor has also found a new way to react to being typecast.

"The fact of it is, it's not a bad position to be in," Craig said. "I used to get asked all the time, 'Don't you worry that you're going to get typecast?' 'And?' I mean, talk about a high-class problem."

See Daniel Craig as James Bond one more time when 'Spectre' hits theaters on November 6.
