'Galaxy S IV' Eye Tracking Coming in Future?

Samsung is in the process of developing a smart phone that could potentially compete with Apple's iPhone.

Samsung is about to blow open the smartphone industry with innovative next-generation smartphones that break the mold and reinvent the smartphone experience - but not with the Galaxy S IV, FOX News reported.

The Los Angeles Times posted a commercial for the new smart phone on their website. The video was shot in New York City. There are signs on the street that read "BE READY 4 THE NEXT GALAXY". The streets and sidewalks are filled with a significant amount of people; ranging from different age groups. The video shows mothers with their children, middle aged individuals along with young people. The video incorporated a flash mob. The flash mob is seen dancing; as people photograph them using their Samsung Galaxy S IV smart phones.

Samsung released a tweet saying "The countdown for the #NextBigThing has begun. Who's ready for the Global Unpacked event on March 14th?" The tweet incorporated a dark, shadowy photograph of their newest smart phone.

"The GS IV is expected to have a 4.99-inch display with 1920 x 1080p HD resolution. The GS IV will include near-field communications (NFC) tech, but so do the GS III and Galaxy Note II, as well as HTC One, Nokia Lumia 920 and many others. It will offer all the table-stakes flagship smartphone features, including Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, LTE 4G," InformationWeek reported.

Earlier this month sources were speculating, that the smart phone will have "eye scroll"; this feature would allow the eyes to scroll up and down while looking at a website. According to Bloomberg, the smart phone may not contain the feature after all, at least not the earlier versions. Bloomberg also reported that the phone will have some eye tracking features; for example, if someone is watching a video and they turn their eyes in a different direction, the video will pause.

The electronic company is making headlines this week due to the anticipation surrounding their latest release. Samsung is officially announcing the Galaxy S4 at a press event in New York, Business Insider reported.
